The first\u00a0thing I always do when I get a new computer is create a repair disc, or as Windows 8.1 calls it, a recovery drive. Before you do this, make sure you have\u00a0a large USB drive. On my laptop I needed to get a 16 GB USB for this project. In this \u201chow to\u201d you will understand why I suggest this. This is where you will find a search icoon at the top right of the screen. Remember you will need a good size one. I had to buy a 16 GB to create mine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Now\u00a0the &#8220;Create a recovery drive&#8221; box will appear. Here you want to make\u00a0sure the &#8220;<strong>Copy the recovery partition from the PC to the recovery drive&#8221; <\/strong>box is checked.\n<ul>\n<li>The checkbox is greyed out when your PC doesn&#8217;t have a recovery partition. The recovery drive will include only the recovery tools and a bootable image, but not a recovery image to use for refreshing or resetting your PC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a now warn you that it will delete everything on the USB.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>If that is OK click &#8220;Create&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a
