Look no further!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Based on a suggestion from one of our regular readers, I checked out &#8220;Winhance,&#8221; a free and open-source Windows <a href=\"https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/how-to-use-bloatbox\/\">debloat<\/a>\/enhancement utility to see what it offered, and I must say I am very impressed. Many thanks to Reg for the suggestion.<\/p>\n<p>There are quite a few Windows debloat\/slimming tools around at the moment, mostly consisting purely of scripts. It then scans the system and presents the results in its intuitive interface. From there, you can select what apps to uninstall. Clicking <strong>External Software<\/strong> brings up a list of applications, sorted into categories, which are usually required in a clean install. Clicking <strong>Optimize<\/strong> and\/or <strong>Customize<\/strong> brings up related <a title=\"How To Enable Hidden \u2018End Task\u2019 Option In Windows 11\" href=\"https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/how-to-enable-hidden-end-task-option-in-windows-11\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"229\">Windows settings<\/a> that you can adjust from within Winhance. Many of the optimization <a title=\"How To Set Up Edge For Optimum Privacy\" href=\"https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/how-to-set-up-edge-for-optimum-privacy\/\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"230\">settings are already set to optimum<\/a> within Winhance, with associated recommendations and tool tips.<\/p>\n<p>Further down the left-hand side, you&#8217;ll see <strong>Advanced Tools<\/strong>, which includes <strong>WIMUtil<\/strong> and <strong>Create Autounattend XML<\/strong>. These tools can be used to create a customized slimmed-down Windows ISO based on your Winhance preferences.<\/p>\n<p>That pretty much covers the basics, and honestly, there is so much more to Winhance that it would take a small novel to explain it all.
