Many of my articles give you tips on social media apps. Today is no different, and when I was looking around on this app, I found another feature that I think you should know. &#8216;What would that be?&#8217; you might be asking. I found a way to manage Instagram comments. That is right, I&#8217;m going to show you how to choose who can comment, plus a few other options. Look to the top right for the <strong>Settings<\/strong> menu (3 lines). Here, they give you a few choices to work with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Block comments from (Any new comments from people you block won&#8217;t be visible to anyone but them)<\/li>\n<li>Who can Comment (posts, reels, and stories)<\/li>\n<li>Allow GIF Comments (People will be able to comment GIFs on your posts and reels)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with the top option for blocking people&#8217;s <strong>Comments<\/strong>. Here you can search for people to block, and it will also show a list of people you have blocked. Tap the search box at the top to add someone or find someone on your list. You can tap the blue button to the right of the person to block or unblock them. We will tap the top one called <strong>Posts and Reels<\/strong>. On the next screen, you are given some choices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Allow comments from<\/strong> (This setting will apply to all your posts.)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Everyone<\/li>\n<li>People you follow<\/li>\n<li>Your Followers<\/li>\n<li>People you follow and your Followers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Tap the circle to the right of the one you wish to select.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Instagram-App-Allow-Comments-From-Screen.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-146393 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Instagram-App-Allow-Comments-From-Screen.jpg\" alt=\"instagram-app-allow-comments-from-screen\" width=\"525\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Instagram-App-Allow-Comments-From-Screen.jpg 525w, https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Instagram-App-Allow-Comments-From-Screen-300x400.jpg 300w, https:\/\/davescomputertips.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Instagram-App-Allow-Comments-From-Screen-113x150.jpg 113w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 8:<\/strong> The next one is for the <strong>Stories<\/strong> you put out. The last one, as you saw in Step 5, is the A<strong>llow GIF Comments<\/strong>. There is a switch to the right of this. Tap it to enable or disable this option.
