That does not deter me at all, I will run Linux as long as it is available, I just wish more users would crossover. It might then make Microsoft to pay a little more attention to what is really taking place in the PC industry.

Hi Daniel,

thanks for the link.

Well, it seems that Linux as OS is quite under-represented with a share of 1.71%.
Nevertheless let´s hope for the best.

As for me, I think Linux will do the trick. At least I don´t see a viable alternative.
Probably I´ll go for dual-boot.

Let me thank you again for the time you spent helping me with my queries.
It´s been a real pleasure exchanging opinions with you, and what´s more - you helped me gaining a whole new perspective on matters.

I wish you the very best.

Greetings

Rosika, you might want to take a look at the new Ubuntu Gnome 15.10, I will be installing it this week. It looks like Ubuntu has finally found a dist that is ready for the big time.

Hi Jim,

thanks for the tip.

As for me I like to stick to the LTS-versions because of the longer support.

What might be interesting is the fact that on April 21, 2016 Xenial Xerus /16.04 LTS)
should be available.
