Good article. There is actually a 4th way (the way I originally learned).

The "GUI" way.
- click on the "Advanced" button below the Permissions section
- click on the "Owner" tab
- click on "Edit" button near bottom of the dialog box
- UAC pops up
- select a username in the "Change owner to" box or ...
- if the name is not in the "Change owner to" box click on "Other users or groups" button to display "Select User or Group"
- if the name is not listed in here, type partial name in "Enter the object name ..." and click on "Check Names" button
- if the name is not listed here, click on the "Advanced" button to display another "Select User or Group" dialog
- click on "Object types" button
- select only "User", then click "OK"
- click on the "Find Now" button
- all user names should be display in the "Search Results" section, select one, OK button
- click on OK button

Also, I would suggest you tell "Newbies" to always put quotes around all file names in the command line, because if there is a space in the name or path it won't work without quotes. Note that in the response provided by the system (as shown in your screen caps) the file path/name is shown with quotes even though there are no spaces.

Frankly, I like your techniques better

PS: the "remove_ownership.reg" does not appear to be complete
