Disappearing Aol.Gold program on windows 10 laptop

I have Aol.Gold program on a Toshiba laptop running windows 10. Every time I close the lid my Aol Gold program gets totally deleted. I have been leaving the computer open but cramps the portability part of having a laptop. If I forget and close the lid Aol is gone when I open it up again requiring having to completely reinstall Aol again .
Would anyone have any ideas as to how to correct this problem? .
